Welcome to Hale Kokio Kauai Vacation Cottage, located in the town of Kilauea, the gateway to the Majestic North Shore. A stay at Hale Kokio is perfect for a Kauai honeymoon, celebration of a special occasion, or a well deserved vacation for two.
The cottage and grounds are designed with your comfort in mind. Set on two acres, the cottage is bright and breezy with living area, pretty bedroom, well appointed kitchen and full bath and loft. And yes, air conditioning and ceiling fans
The sliding doors bring you to the large covered lanai, outfitted with private hot tub, lounge chairs and dining area. This
outdoor living space is a favorite of travelers.
An outdoor shower is a few steps down. You will find lounges in the garden by the side of the cottage by the banana trees, and an hammock .in the shade of the palms. An outdoor shower, and a gas grill to the front.
The gardens are filled with fruit, flowers and tropical plants.

Hale Kokio is located in Kilauea, the gateway to the North Shore. The Kilauea Town is a gem. Originally a sugar plantation the town retains much original character. New shops, eateries and specialties have opened doors. The Kilauea Market and Cafe is the anchor store. New restaurants, coffee, juice and smoothie shops. Four new excellent restaurants have opened recently.
Kilauea is being noted as the best town in north shore Kauai for food, shops and arts.

The house nestled amongst tropical plants in a grassy yard, and that is surrounded by trees. It gives the feeling of seclusion and, for someone who was visiting for the first time, a view of the flora and fauna from the comforts of a deck or window. We were too caught up in enjoying the ambience to even jump in the hottub. Each night we would shut off the lights and listen to the quiet chirping of the geckos. As we drifted off to sleep. Each morning the master bed was bathed in the golden light of the rising sun. Gentle rain would patter through the leaves and on the roof for a few minutes. It is a very relaxing environment, from walking the property with a cup of coffee and personable chickens, to listening to the evening breeze through the trees. It was a very refreshing stay and we are very grateful for the hospitality.

There is a lot of greenery surrounding this little cottage. And a lot of roosters. They start crowing around in 3 the morning and continue throughout the day Despite that we we slept through most of their singing.
The cottage has a deck with a table where you can eat or relax too.
It rained but was still possible to get out and find things to do around that area when there were breaks in the weather. We enjoyed our stay.
Response Kauai is known for the beauty of its natural beauty. It is good to hear that you enjoyed the island. As for the roosters, they are part of the culture of the island. They move from place to place.
We hope you brought home great memories of the Garden Island. Mahalo

Hale Kokio was the perfect place to stay for our honeymoon! Clean,cute and great distance to beaches, hikes and restaurants. It was so nice to have a private getaway after a day of our exploring the island every day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well- maintained cottage situated on an acre and a half of a tropical garden. The interior was very comfortable and clean. The owner lived nearby, and was always willing to help make our stay more comfortable. We will certainly consider this cottage again for a future visit.

The privacy and seclusion of the property gave a feel of our own Vacasa! The cozy cottage was more than sufficient for our two week stay. and we enjoyed every moment of our time there.

Hale Kokio Kauai Vacation Rental,is in Kilauea Farms, a neighborhood of private homes and some working farms. The community is welcoming, the lifestyle is simple and the beauty of the area abundant.
The sweet little town of Kilauea is a five minutes drive from Hale Kokio. This historic town has both long standing and new shops, eateries. The new Kilauea Market is convenient and specialty and new shops continue to open.
The outskirts include Kilauea Lighthouse, Anini Beach, Anaina Hou Farmers market, the Porter Pavilion entertainment, Na' Aina and Kai Botanical Gardens. Three quiet beaches are a short drive from Hale Kokio. ( Secret, Rock Quart, Pila,a).
Come to Kauai for a bit of paradise, walks on the beach, music by the fire, dancing under the stars, preparing meals of fresh fish and local produce.
Explore further north to the towns of Princeville, Hanalei. Plan a day outing to the Na Pali Coast. All within fifteen miles. An amazing thing about Kauai is that there is so much to discover each day .
