HALE KOKIO:  HALE KOKIO  AND TOWN OF KILAUEA KAUAI

Hale Kokio is a well loved Vacation Kauai Cottage located on a quiet road in Kilauea Farms.. We have collected photos of the cottage, the garden, a view of our road, and the town of Kilauea.  We have also included a few of other North Shore Activities.  This combination of features at Hale Kokio are found in few Kauai Cottage Rentals on the North Shore.

 

Want to relax and restore at your Kauai Cottage?  You will find chaise lounges placed in back yard, Many guests move them to the side of the cottage to view the sunset.  

 

Combine active days exploring the island with quiet times at your island retreat. You can enjoy the  comforts of the cozy sofa or reclining chairs in the loft. A restorative soak in the hot tub is a favorite. Breakfast at the kitchen bar or on the lanai. 

The private gardens are bordered by hibiscus and palms. The two acres feature varieties of fruit and flowering plants, all maintained with sustainable gardening practices.

Be sure to visit Kilauea Town early in your stay for conveniences, shops and well known Kauai Landmarks.

                                                

Our charming town of Kilauea has some of the island's best food, shopping and art. The last few years have attracted new shops. added to the well established .  Kilauea Bakery with extensive menu faces the court,  The Bistro offers a happy hour, perfect for a late lunch. Kilauea Fish Market is take out or outdoor eating. The Healthy Hut stocks organic foods.  Kilauea Market and Cafe is convenient with its wide variety food, household goods, large wine choices, and menu for the Cafe. Trilogy is a great coffee bar, Kauai Juice, Kai food and beverage Bar and more .

Kung Lung Trading  is known for its quality and lasting items. Fine clothing is at Oscars, There are several clothing, surf shops, gift shops.

​Our location is five minutes from Kilauea Town Center. Kilauea has all the shops, from organic food, island clothing, to gifts and even a  station. This little town is the gateway to the North Shore. The town was once a sugar plantation and stone buildings still stand. The wordn is out that Kiauea has some of the islands best shops, restaurants and arts. The Kilauea Market and Cafe is the anchor for the shops including eateries, grocery, salons and general shopping are continuously opening. 

In the outskirts of town you will find three quiet beaches, Anini Beach, Kaliila Beach     and the The Anaini Hou Center hosts the Kilauea Farmers Markets  twice a week and the Pavilion has a weekly schedule of entertainment.

 

The Kilauea Lighthouse and Lookout point are just outside town. 

We are not far from Princeville or Hanalei going north and Kapa'a is a short drive headed east. Each have their own story. he road to the famous Na Pali Coast is a fifteen miles from town and passes through through Princeville and Hanalei.  
Take the North Shore Shuttle from Hanalei for a relaxing view along the beaches and Botanical Gardens to the famouse Na pali Coast and Ke'e and Kalalua Trail.   

                                             

The outskirts of town take you to the Kilauea Lighthouse, Visit the Anaina Hou Community Center for the weekly Farmers Market, Hiking area and even mini golf.
